We are delighted to share the dates for the upcoming RAMBERT Grade 1 exam, some additional enrichment dates and some general information regarding the exams.
Please read to the end as there is a GOOGLE FORM to be completed.
Thursday 16th May - from next week we would like to bring the class start time forward to 6.15pm. It is felt that the dancers would benefit from an hours class and therefore Grade 1 will join with Grade 2 dancers for a warm up with Gemma in Studio 2 at this time. Dancers have expressed that they would prefer to start earlier than finish later - please do let us know if this new time doesn't work for your family.
Thursday 16th May - Grade 1 dancers will film their creative during class time (this will be held in Studio 2) so dancers will stay in Studio 2 following their warm up.
Saturday 8th June (5.30pm-7.30pm) - Grade 1 Technical Enrichment. Some students already filmed their technical exercises during the first term, however they have grown so much as dancers since that time we would like to explore re-filming their entries. This optional refresher session would be beneficial for all students who wish to re-cap the technical element of Grade 1 ahead of the exam filming day listed below.
Saturday 6th July (5.30pm -7.30pm) - Grade 1 Filming for solo choreography (Hofesh Repertoire) and Technical. All Rambert Grades examinations are digital and assessed by external examiners using pre-recorded footage.

Examination Dress Code
We want to see the best from each individual and want dancers to feel comfortable in our exams.
Although there is no set uniform, candidates should present themselves in a manner which enables them to be clearly seen and so that hair or clothing doesn't get in the way of the essence of the movement and maintains safe practice for the individual and group. We suggest dancers wear a plain and suitable top - which varies in colour across the group - and joggers or leggings that are comfortable to move in without needing to be adjusted during the exam.
Fees
Fees for each exam are payable to Rambert Grades and will be charged through your SCD Autopay. Please note that additional enrichment sessions and exam days are offered at no additional charge.
