Please make sure all outfits are packed and ready to go!
Important to do next: REGISTRATION [COMPLETED ALREADY]
Due to data protection, BDO will not let us register the students individually. You (the parent/carer) must do this. Please use this link to register your child for a BDO account. Signing up is free of charge.
When you fill out the profile details, you will need to input your Dancers information (not yours the parent). Of course, you the parent, will need to use your email and phone number.
When asking for your school details, please enter SCD not Sutton Community Dance. You will need to wait for the drop down to appear and select SCD. I am aware that there is a SCD Dance School option, do not select this.
As you know, this is a long day. Finer details will be sent to us during the week to the lead up of competition day. If anything else comes up, we will update you along the way.
Please have this form completed by Tuesday 9th January.
If you are an experienced Street Dancer wanting to join a supportive crew to reach new dance heights, we would love for you to join this audition.
Dancers aged 12-21 looking to commit to working hard, learning from feedback and encouraging crew mates should apply for this audition if you are confident in your street abilities.
The audition will be led in a Street Class format, with everyone together, including current SCD crew members and led by Jaeda who leads both our crews, supported by other SCD teaching team members.
During this one audition we are assessing dancers for one of our two crews and if we don't believe you are ready for crew membership just yet we may recommend an appropriate Street Dance class level, from the SCD timetable.
The audition itself:
* Will last 1 hour
* Will not require any prep on your part
* Will require you to simply wear comfortable clothing and trainers AND bring a water bottle.
Feedback will be given within 3 days over email.
If you are successful in being invited to a crew you will be asked to sign the crew agreement and will be charged within the SCD class charging structure ( 1 class per week = £33 per month, 2 classes per week = £56 per month etc). See our classes page here for more information.
Click this button to apply for the audition through our short form.

Please note that this timetable is an estimate, this is can be schedule to change on the day.
We encourage you to stay and support other crew members in their categories and to soak up the whole experience, but we understand you may need to head off home after your dancer has competed in all their categories.
SJ has ALL DANCER wristbands and will hand these out when you arrive!
Estimated car travel time - 1hr 30 mins, please thoroughly heck route before setting off.
Please allow yourself plenty of time for the journey as its best to be early and avoid stress for yourself or the other crew members and team ;) There is ZERO flexibility with competition performance times. If we are late, we miss out.

We suggest bringing snacks/lunch with you and plenty of water! We see on google maps there is a Tesco express and Greggs nearby - I’m not sure how long the break is during the day so I would advise not solely relying on this!

We love to take photos and videos at important days like this. Please be ready to join with any photos - including parents / family members if asked!
If you take video on the day and believe you have good footage to share please send to us using this link, rather than using the WhatsApp groups. Thanks.

COMPETITION DAY PRACTICING - FROM JAEDA
'My aim is to rehearse with all solo duos and crews on the day, before they compete. All the pieces are spread out, this means at any moment where there are no dancers for me to watch and support as they compete, I will gather certain people to practice. To help me with this, it would be great if all dancers and parents stay in the SCD area or with me to support the solos/duos/crew so that I can gather everyone quickly and practice whatever needs practicing next. This also means that I will need to know about any snack breaks, toilet trips etc (just drop me a message) just so I’m aware of where everyone is.
On the day please also keep an eye on the group chat for any messages like ‘ so and so, we will be practicing outside in 5 minutes’
The main aim of the day, is to support both crews in this exciting event throughout the day!
Thanks in advanced for all your help and support 😊'
