Whether you want to surprise your partner for their 50th with a Ballroom & Latin party, give your child and their class an awesome dance party for their 6th birthday OR simply arrange for you and some mates to have a ‘learn to dance’ party one Friday evening, we can help.
SCD Party Package
The price we charge includes sole use of SCD (the front shutter will be closed for child safety), a minimum of 2 staff throughout the party, all relevant studio / PA / Lighting equipment and a teacher with assistant that will plan and deliver the party. Obviously, you have access to our toilets and changing areas. We can provide our large urn for hot water for adults and a large vintage style, glass chilled water dispenser.
Our minimum 2-hour party package charge is £250 and allows for up to 20 guests. Above 20 participants we simply add a £7 per person charge. SCD parties can take place usually on Sundays (after 11) or Saturdays (after 3pm). The price allows for a 2-hour party with up to an hour either side for setup and clear up included.
We can offer a dance party of a particular dance genre i.e. a jazz, ballet, Ballroom and Latin, Street dance, Tap or Contemporary theme or a more generic dance party. If you have any other theme in mind, we can try to work this in, as well as including any requested music.
We will identify an SCD teacher who would be most appropriate for the age group and style you are looking for. All subject to availability of course.
We have a wide variety of props e.g. parachutes, balls and silent disco headphones available to be used within the party plan. We would normally expect the SCD led dancing to be for around an hour and also to have some ice breakers or games / silent disco time – dependent on what you would like.
Bringing your own party food works well in our ‘Wait and Create’ area, using the large table there. We have some extra tables and chairs if needed and find people enjoy sitting around the table or on the ‘grass’ benches. Café Esquire and Café Kiko below SCD in the St Nic’s centre can offer children’s party lunch boxes if of interest.

If you do wish to go ahead, kindly let us know what date(s) you have in mind as well as ages and rough numbers of those attending.
We simply require a non-refundable * deposit of 50% to be paid at the time of booking, with the remaining 50% payable the day of the party. Cancellations made 72 hours or longer before the party is due to start will not be liable for the 50% balance.
*The deposit can only be refunded if the party is cancelled (in writing) 2 weeks before the event is due to start.
You can pay for these amounts via bank transfer (to save on card fees). Bank transfer details will be sent to you separately when the date is agreed
